Salon Policies

PLEASE READ our policies as we are a small boutique salon offering dedicated appointment times for every client. Upholding these policies ensures your appointment time is free from interruptions or time restraints due to others.   

AFTERPAY

We have AFTERPAY! Get your hair done and then pay it off in 4 equal fortnightly repayments. A 6% surcharge will be added to your total for the convenience of this service.

CANCELLATIONS

We require a minimum of 48hrs notice within business times for cancellation (Tuesday - Saturday). All cancellations within less than 48hrs will result in a 100% loss of deposit. If you have not paid a deposit, you will be required to pay a minimum $50 late fee (depending on service) before booking your next appointment.

LATE ARRIVALS

Please don't be late!  We want everyone's experience to be enjoyable, and being late may cause others to have to wait.  So, if you are more than 15 minutes late we will need to alter your service to allow for lost time.

PREPARATION

Please come to your appointment with clean and dry hair (maximum 2 days old). Excess oil/product will work as barrier on your hair. Please inform us of all products you are using including supermarket products, that may compromise the condition of your hair and results of your service. Please discontinue use of toning shampoos at least 1 week prior to your appointment. We ask all clients to wash their hair before their appointment if they have been in the pool as chlorine will compromise the results of your service. In order to achieve the best results from your lightening service, we recommend preparing your hair 4 weeks prior to your appointment (products that are paraben/sls/sles free, we recommend and use Olaplex in salon).

DEPOSITS

HBKR now requires a $50 deposit (for service under $200) or $100 deposit (service over $200) in order to secure your appointment time which is deducted from the cost of your service on the day. Deposit requests will be sent via our Fresha account.

NO SHOW

Woops! Did you forget about us?  We definitely forgive you, but sorry we have a $100 no show fee before making your next appointment. Deposits are non refundable.

CHILDREN

We love your little ones, but they are not safe in our salon with sharp things and chemicals around.  So please arrange for them to be cared for while we take special care of you.

PRE-COLOURED HAIR

Please - You MUST advise us prior to your appointment if you have used a box or home colour dye as we may not be able to accept your appointment. You may also lose your deposit as a result.
